Wow. I just want to get in a plane and go to Berlin. I have to say, Karie, these blogs are awesome. I started out reading them because I love the adventure you and Scott are taking, but now I totally want to know about the places you are visiting.
If I were going to any of these places, they would be enormously helpful. I hope you are considering submitting these for a travel guide.
Next week I am off to Seoul. I wish you had been there, and I would feel way more prepared!

Everything sounds so amazing and your descriptions are great. You’ll have so many great stories to tell your kids someday too!
I remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego…but do you remember the SONG? It is now stuck in my head

I’m argentinian… In my country sometimes the “dark and tainted history” is covered up in such a ridiculous ways…
I went to berlin last june, and it got tears in my eyes.
I was moved by de way monuments epress how Berliners feel
They don´t try to forget the wounds of their past, they just show off all of those terrible scars in some beautiful ways… they just remember and learn from all the pain.
I´m hoping to go back some day…
Nice blog!
PS. Have you been at the Bauhaus School at Dessau? Nereby Berlin, great for all who love design
